Noncommutative analysis is research direction that emerged recently from the fields of from operator spaces, quantum probability and noncommutative harmonic analysis. NC analysis can be viewed as quantized analysis, where functions become operators (NC functions). Fourier multipliers are by far the most important operators in classical analysis, and the preeminent place they occupy in classical analysis leads one to expect a similar strong role to be played by their NC counterparts (Fourier and Schur multipliers) in future developments of NC analysis.
The lectures on "Fourier Multipliers on Group Von Neumann Algebras" by Javier Parcet, Éric Ricard, and Mikael de la Salle will give an introduction to this subject and present recent results obtained by the lecturers.
